If humanity is to live sustainably, this must be part of global culture
Culture reflects what is important in a society. If Humanity is to live sustainably, sustainability must be part of culture. This applies at both local and global levels.
This world Culture of Sustainability will exist when sustainability is reflected in work and personal lives everywhere.
IMPACT OF A CULTURE OF SUSTAINABILITY
Ordinary people will incorporate sustainability in their personal lives
A Culture of Sustainability will positively impact these key sectors of society:
- Government – which pays attention to what people want – will put sustainability in all plans and programs
- Businesses – which respond quickly to new demands – will produce more sustainable goods and services
- Non-government organizations – who serve various communities – will develop more projects for sustainability
- Ordinary people – who follow trends and share thoughts with friends and neighbours – will incorporate sustainable activities in their personal lives and community interactions
- Experts in sustainability – will experience higher demand for their services. This will support employment for engineers, renovators, biologists, organic farm consultants, architects, waste recyclers, community designers, garden advisors etc.

The full impact of sustainable living will show itself in many ways, including:
